Sun Prairie EDC Hosts Second Annual Business Roundtable

On Tuesday March 11th, more than 50 business representatives and local officials from the community attended a Business Roundtable event hosted by the Sun Prairie Economic Development Council and were treated to a hot breakfast in exchange for their ideas on a multitude of ideas. This is the second consecutive event held by the EDC. The meeting was held at the Westside Community Facility in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Attendees were provided a short overview of the EDC's activities over the past year, as well as a brief summary of some of the City's Economic Development efforts. City Planning Director Scott Kugler provided the group with a status update on various developments throughout the City. Four smaller discussion groups followed the opening comments, and included topics on Business Attraction and Retention, Main Street Reconstruction, an update on the Comprehensive Planning process, and training and educational resources available through the Sun Prairie Area School District. Comments from each of these group discussions will be assembled and shared with EDC members for evaluation and potential action or recommendation in the next week or so.
