President of Sun Prairie's Allied Industries to Present at Entrepreneurs' Conference
Sun Prairie's Stuart Anders of Allied Industries LLC will be a keynote speaker at Thursday June 26th's "Catch the Culture: A 7 Rivers Regional Inventors & Entrepreneurs Rendezvous" from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Cleary Alumni & Friends Center at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Anders' inventions are a part of the Sears Craftsman tool line and have sold over of one million items. At the event Anders will share his experiences in turning an idea into a marketable item starting as a young apprentice in his father's woodworking shop through his unique career path as an industrial arts teacher, helicopter pilot, and leotard and swimwear designer.

Wisconsin Distributors, Inc. Helps Anheuser-Busch Help Wisconsin Flood Victims

It was shipped to Wisconsin Distributors in Sun Prairie, a local wholesaler for the St. Louis-based brewer. Sun Prairie based Wisconsin Distributors is assisting the American Red Cross to get clean drinking water to relief centers in Madison, Oshkosh, Fond du Lac, La Crosse and Milwaukee.
"It's important for communities to pull together and lend a helping hand, and Anheuser-Busch is proud to provide drinking water to these people in need," said Peter Kraemer, vice president of operations for the brewer.

Taste of the Arts Fair
The 27th Annual Sun Prairie Taste of the Arts Fair will be held Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at Sheehan Park, Linnerud Drive, Sun Prairie. Event hours are 9 am - 4 pm and feature a variety of hand-crafted items and fine arts by artists from around the state of Wisconsin. Entertainment and 'how to' demonstrations will be included and, specialty foods by local and area restaurants and vendors will be featured in our "taste" of the arts event!
Georgia O'Keeffe Celebration
Sun Prairie's 7th Annual Georgia O'Keeffe Celebration is also on Saturday, June 14th, 2008 at the Sun Prairie Public Library, 1350 Linnerud Drive - right across the street from the Taste of the Arts Fair! Activities including performances and tours start at 10:30 a.m.
Cannery Square Block Party
Come celebrate downtown Sun Prairie on Saturday June 21st from Noon until 7:00 p.m. at the annual Cannery Square Block Party right across from City Hall. There will be food, activities for kids, a beer garden and live music featuring Ken Lonnquist, Universal Sound, and Little Vito and the Torpedoes.
Strawberry Fest
The 27th Annual Strawberry Fest will be held on June 21st-22nd at the Colonial Club. Activities will include a 5K and 10K road race, Strawberry Waffle breakfast, bake sale, craft fair, skateboarding clinic and races, art cart, talent show and more.
Weekly Races at Angell Park Speedway
Angell Park Speedway plays host to the longest running weekly midget racing show in the country on its third mile clay oval. It is also home to the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame. Located in downtown Sun Prairie, WI Angell Park's races run every Sunday night from mid-May through Labor Day weekend. Angell Park Speedway features the cars and stars of the Badger Midget Auto Racing Association, extending the long-standing tradition.
