Sun Prairie's Ad Hoc Committee on Economic Development has been strategizing on behalf of the city since it was created in May. The goal of the committee, which includes elected city officials and business people within the city, is to create a comprehensive business development plan that will serve as a recommendation of policies, priorities, and objectives to guide the city as it pursues successful financial growth and development.
The committee has reviewed economic and demographic data for the City, discussed potential target sectors, and reviewed preliminary objectives and strategies. A formal recommendation will be going to the City Council by the end of October, and will likely be discussed at the Council level in November.
